Hello!

I'm Crystal Werner. For over a decade, I had the honor of documenting cherished family moments through my work as Little Sun Photography. After a series of knee surgeries, I could no longer continue the work I loved in portrait photography. While my focus has shifted toward a more documentary style, the heart of my work remains the same: telling authentic stories through imagery.

My perspective is shaped by years of navigating motherhood, personal growth, and a career that’s been anything but linear—and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I live in the DC area with my husband, our four children, and our pups. I’ve come to deeply value the eclectic mix of experiences that I’ve gained in nonprofit management, wealth management, and now in overseeing financial operations at an emerging biotech company.

In my free time, I soak up time with my family, teach myself the cello (which is not as simple as I hoped!), and search for the beauty in the small, unscripted moments that make life meaningful.
